RON RUBIN

Ron Rubin wrote GOLD IN YOUR BACKYARD to share the lessons he learned over more than five decades building businesses, taking risks, and pursuing a dream that began when he was just 22 years old.

An entrepreneur and brand builder, Ron has spent his career creating companies that combine commercial success with purpose. After starting in his family’s liquor distribution business in Illinois, he went on to acquire and grow The Republic of Tea, now one of the most beloved specialty tea brands in the United States.

In 2011, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by purchasing what is now River Road Family Vineyards and Winery in Sonoma County, which operates today as a Certified B Corporation committed to sustainability and responsible business practices.

In GOLD IN YOUR BACKYARD, Ron reveals the risks, opportunities, and moments of inspiration that shaped his journey through 50 lessons that he hopes will inspire others to build businesses and lives of meaning and purpose.
